You know that I love a bit of productivity, planning and organisation.
It’s my thing and it makes me happy! I am committed to taking much better care of myself these days so I’ve been looking deeply at the daily routines in my life and business.
My husband is an Organisational Wellbeing and Performance Coach and he has taught me a lot about the science behind peak creative flow and productivity. Hint… REST is vital to doing your best work. The science proves it.
This is not about hustling twenty four seven. I don’t have the energy or the inclination to work like that anymore. That’s a recipe for burnout and anxiety.
I have been researching and experimenting with how to get the important things done in a way that aligns with my desire for long term health, peak productivity and a thriving business.
The “Get Shit Done” ethos involves:
- Creating a routine where I understand my cycles, I know my best working hours (7am – 12pm) and I optimise what I do in those hours. Then I rest.
- Active Recovery is where it’s at! Doing things that rejuvenate my body and spirit are prioritised now.
- I know that I have a tendency to get caught up in productivity. I over schedule, create too many projects and overwhelm myself with tasks. I get excited! Therefore, I must simplify my priorities.
- Above all, my work doesn’t get better because I work harder. It actually gets worse because I’m strung out and tired. The main idea is not to overwork but to be more effective during the hours I am working.
These are my GET SHIT DONE notes gathered from research and experience. They are concepts, actions and ideas that I feel have a big impact on my daily life and work.
It’s actually very simple and I will create further content on each of these concepts.
If you would like a copy of these notes, I’ve made a downloadable pdf for you here.

Are there ideas here that pique your interest? Do you incorporate these elements into your daily life? Do you want to know more?
Send me an email as I’d love to know if these ideas resonate with you.
