Wildflowers & Wings

Who doesn’t love a wildflower?

My latest collection is a celebration of my favourite things. Traditional cottage flowers, Australian native plants and little winged creatures.

I have been diving deeper into the colours that I love. Creating a palette that is both soft and calm, yet bright and uplifting. Lots of delicious shades of mauve, coral pink and olive green mixed with my trademark navy blue and yellow.

The illustration above highlights some of the Australian florals that I have been working with.

Their shapes, textures and markings have so inspired me.

I have a stack of books on Australian native plants and butterflies on my desk. Always beginning my research for a collection by heading out to wild places with my sketchbook (sometimes that’s my garden) and of course visiting my local library. I adore the books that nature lovers have spent their lives researching, photographing and writing. Here you will find something truly unique and original.

My artwork above features the Bold-Line Butterfly. If you look carefully at the collection, you will find enchanting little moths and Jewel Beetles flittering in and out of the designs.

It’s all about leaning into the things that truly make me feel happy. The life that surrounds me and makes me feel alive and grateful to be connected to this beautiful land.

I hope to share it as I see it in my eyes – enchanting, unique and full of surprises.
