Fill Your Cup

I thought that I was being practical…

“I don’t want to waste money on too many art supplies.”

“I’m not big and successful enough to warrant investing in my business.” 

“I can’t justify the expense of treatments for my health.” 

“I don’t need new clothes, good food or quality skincare.” 

The list goes on and everybody else comes first. Sound familiar?

The truth is that I didn’t feel like I deserved it.

When do we become worthy? When does it happen if not now? How can we ever start to thrive if we don’t give ourselves what we need?

You that you don’t earn worthiness. You are born worthy.

Fill your cup now with the things that you need in order to thrive. Don’t wait to be deserving, your time is now. 

Invest in yourself. Whatever you need to fill your soul with inspiration and curiosity, make it happen.

Do you need to carve out space to exercise? Do you need a real haircut? Do you need a weekend away by yourself or with your friends? Do you need a house cleaner – even if it’s just for a few months so you can have some space to breathe?

Please don’t look for permission. Look at your budget and see where you can shift things around to prioritise yourself at this time.

I know it’s confronting. Reading this might really piss you off, in the past it would have pissed me off too but here’s the truth –

It’s not about the money, it’s about what you value in this life. Do you value yourself? Your time? Your gifts?

There are times when you must come first.  

When you fill your cup, you illuminate everyone around you and give them permission to be deserving too. Who wouldn’t want that?
