“The blueprints of heaven are etched in the deep desires of women.”
These words from Glennon Doyle’s latest book Untamed, speak to my heart and soul.
I think of the women in my life. My mother, my sister, my aunties and cousins, my dearest girlfriends, the creators and the mentors that I have followed. The women supporting women. They have all raised me. They have each taught me what it means to care, to speak up, to support, to defend, to fight, to forgive, TO FEEL. To throw it all in the ring and create something from your wildest dreams and deepest knowing.
This is the legacy that we gift to each other. From friend to friend, Aunties to nieces, sister to sister and mothers to daughters and sons. Whether we have kids or not, we nurture each other. We show each other and the world where true beauty resides. What courage, creativity, wisdom and passion are.
The deep desires of women are precious. They are a magic that has the capacity to lift every person to their greatest most loving potential.
Mother’s Day is coming up soon and whilst I celebrate mothers, I also want to celebrate all the women who have graced my life. How fortunate we are to be surrounded by a community of women.

If our current global crisis has taught me anything it is that women’s voices are the balm to my soul. Women understand great risk. They work, they nurture relationships, they raise families, create and grow businesses. They make art in the face of messages that constantly tell them that they are not enough and that it is better to put themselves last.
In the face of a world that largely does not put structures in place to support them to thrive – women do it anyway. They fight for it . They eek their way through depletion and exhaustion. They raise themselves up and they raise each other.
The women I know want to share their knowledge, support their people and be supported in return. They are inspiring, sharp and talented. I am constantly in awe of their grace, their courage, energy, focus and dedication to walking the path of their deepest desires.
It’s always a good time to talk about women and how vital their voices are to the health of our world. Who are the women that raised you? The one’s who saw you and nurtured your gifts?
